This is a great post workout drink, or a handy substitute for breakfast. It is high in protein and calories, but low in sugar and fat.
The ingredients »
- 1 x Scoop of Fruit Blast Whey Protein
- 1 x Medium Banana
- 7 x Ice cubes
- 250 x ml skim milk
How to make »
- Combine milk with protein powder, shake / stir well. I tend to mix this up about a liter at a time and store it in the fridge, it keeps as long as your milk does. Also, using organic milk will give you a shelf life of 6-8 weeks. Any flavor of powder works, but I find the fruit ones mix and taste the best.
- Add milk + protein mixture into blender. Add ice.
- Chop up the banana and add it. You can also substitute any other fruit, but bananas make for easy measuring. Also, the added potassium after workouts will help you to not get sore.
- Blend until smooth.

Low on fruit? Substitute nonfat yogurt instead. Just watch the sugar content!
